On June 20, the first "Cui Ying Cup":the online forum on Eurasian studies for graduates students was successfully held, which was sponsored by the School of Politics and International Relations of Lanzhou University and the Institute for Central Asian Studies of Lanzhou University, and hosted by the editorial department of Central Asian Studies. More than 50 doctoral and postgraduate students from more than 30 universities and research institutions, including Lanzhou University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, School of Foreign Affairs and Shanghai Foreign Studies University, participated in the online academic conference.

Professor Wang Jinguo, Dean of the School of Politics and International Relations of Lanzhou University and Deputy Director of the Institute for Central Asian Studies of Lanzhou University, introduced the first "Cui Ying Cup" of Lanzhou University in his speech, and announced the list of winners of the forum.

Professor Wang Jinguo said, the “Belt and Road Initiative, built by China and Eurasian countries, offers an opportunity for promoting academic exchanges between graduate students in Europe and Asia, encouraging young people to engage in research on Eurasian issues, and studying reserve talents in Europe and Asia.” Later, Associate Professor Wei Jinshen gave a supplementary explanation on the solicitation and evaluation of the forum.

It is reported that in order to promote the research interest of graduate students and realize the normalization and standardization of academic exchanges, the "Cui Ying Cup" will be held once a year to continuously improve the quality and level of academic exchanges.
