At 10:30 a.m. on September 14, School of Politics and International Relations of Lanzhou University held orientation meeting for 2020 undergraduate students. Yao Zhihai, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, Professor Wang Jinguo, Professor Chen Xiaoding, Associate Professor Zhou Ming, Associate Professor Chen Yiyi, Associate Professor Xiao Han, Associate Professor Li Yibin, Dr. Ning Yu, Teaching Secretary Wang Wanjun, Counselor Lei huanrui, senior student representatives and all 2020 undergraduate students attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Jia Haiyan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.

In the first part, Mr. Yao Zhihai read out the appointment decision of class head teacher and student deputy head teacher of class 2020. The second part was delivered by Professor Wang jinguo, and he firstly welcomed the freshmen, then introduced the basic situation of the school, and wished the students to study hard and strengthen their body to become a student with ideas, ideals and morality. In the third part, Professor Chen Xiaoding, Deputy Dean of our school, made a statement. He hoped that the new students to become the people who have ideals, learn from the beautiful things and continue to broaden horizons.

The fourth part of the conference was delivered by Zhang Junsu, a student representative of grade 2017. He said that the best university is the one that admitted yourself, and he hoped that students can enrich themselves and open a new chapter in Lanzhou University. The fifth part of the conference was delivered by Guan Heng, a freshman representative. He suggested that the students should have a correct understanding of him/herself and freedom, take their studies seriously, conduct themselves in a political and moral way. Liu Wenjin, a freshman's representative, spoke at the sixth part of the conference. She suggested that students should have lofty aspirations and hold a positive attitude towards university life.Finally, all participants took a group photo to commemorate the conference.
