On November 19, 2020, Deng Hao,senior research fellow from China Institute of International Studies and Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Research Center, and Li Yingying, research assistant from China Institute of International Studies, visited our school for academic exchanges. Yao Zhihai, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, Professor Zeng Xianghong,Deputy Dean of our school,Professor Zhang Hongli, Professor Jiao Yiqiang, Professor Li Jie, Associate Professor Wei Jinshen, and Ph.D Cao Wei and Ph.D Zhang Yuyan attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the exchange, Secretary Yao Zhihai, on behalf of the school welcomed senior research fellow Deng Hao and his party and introduced the basic situation of our school. After that,senior research fellow Deng Hao briefly introduced about China Institute of International Studies and shared the recent research directions and research plans of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Research Center.

The exchange activities mainly focused on security and cooperation in Central Asia countries. All the attendees discussed Turkey's and Russia's Central Asian policies, the security situation in Central Asia, and China's countermeasures. Dr. Li Yingying introduced some findings and puzzles found in the relevant research process. With in-depth exchanges and heated discussions, the two sides had a deeper understanding of security and cooperation in Central Asia.

Finally, the two sides discussed issues on future cooperation.
