On November 21, 2020, inauguration ceremony of Asia Europe Research Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University and the "Silk Road" Global Governance Symposium, hosted by the Asia Europe Research Center of Xi'an Jiaotong University were held.

The Symposium was jointly sponsored by the Social Science Department of Xi'an Jiaotong University and International Cooperation and Exchange Department. Professor Chen Xiaoding, Deputy Dean of our school, associate professor Li Yibin and Ph,D Sang Pu from our school attended the seminar.

About 30 experts and scholars from more than 10 universities, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, The University of Hong Kong, Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C. (National Academy of Governance),China University of Political Science and Law,Jilin University, Sun Yat sen University, Lanzhou University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations, Liaoning Normal University, Shaanxi Normal University attended the meeting.

Professor Chen Xiaoding made a report on “Working Mechanism of the SCO towards the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative in the Post-epidemic Era”. He proposed the specific working mechanism of the SCO towards the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative,and pointed out that it is necessary to coordinate the strategic relations between China-Russia and among China-Russia-India, to realize the interconnection in the post epidemic era, to coordinating the relationship between supply and demand, and to improve the supply of regional public goods, etc.
