On January 6, 2021,the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia hosted a press conference,and released the official document of the 75th UN General Assembly and the Security Council " Policy of Neutrality and its Role in Ensuring International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development" in Ashgabat, capital of Turkmenistan.

The meeting was held online and offline, and representatives from China, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Britain, Malaysia, Pakistan, Turkey, India attended this meeting. At the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Professor Wang Sihai, Associate Professor Wei Jinshen, Mr.Ali, Miss Zhao Xiuqin, Miss Make and Miss Huo Dandan of Center for Turkmenistan Studies of Lanzhou University, attended the news conference online.

Natalia Gelman, the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations for Central Asia, and director of the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy, delivered a keynote speech at the press conference. Natalia Gelman briefly introduced the outcome document. She expounded the important role ofpolicy of neutrality in maintaining world peace, promoting regional and global sustainable and stable development, and promoting friendly relations among countries.
