On November 27^th-28^th, the general meeting and annual meeting of the Institute of Russian, Eastern European & Central Asian studies, CASS (the 11^thhigh-level forum of Russian, Eastern European, Central Asian and Global Studies) was held in Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai. On November 27^th, the general meeting of the Institute of Russian, Eastern European & Central Asian studies,CASS has elected their ninth council. Professor Yang Shu from our school was elected as the senior advisor to the advisory committee, Professor Wang Jinguo as the executive director, and Professor Zeng Xianghong as the director.

Background Information: Founded in 1982, the Institute of Russian, Eastern European & Central Asian studies,CASS is a national academic organization registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It is also a first-class national academic society, under the governing of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Since its establishment, Institute of Russian, Eastern European & Central Asian studies has contacted experts and scholars worldwide to create favorable conditions for its academic communications.There are  more than 10 governing units and more than 300 members.
