On March 31, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Science of Turkmenistan, Professor Wang Sihai, Associate Professor Sun Xiuwen and students Zhao Xiuqin, Ma Ke, Huo Dandan and Ali from Center for Turkmenistan Studies of Lanzhou University and the School of Politics and International Relations of Lanzhou University participated in the online Turkmenistan International Culture Forum.

The forum was held on the initiative of President Berdymukhamedov of Turkmenistan and co sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and National Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.Representatives from 18 countries including China, Russia, India, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Italy, Azerbaijan and Georgia attended the meeting, bringing together more than 80 senior government officials and well-known experts. More than 200 delegates spoke at the meeting.

Professor Wang Sihai, director of Center for Turkmenistan Studies of Lanzhou University, made a keynote speech. In his speech, Professor Wang Sihai stressed the importance of "trust" and "cooperation" to human development, the contribution of China and Turkmenistan to world peace and development since ancient times and the historical origin and continuation of Turkmenistan's neutral model, In particular, it highlighted that "China and Turkmenistan will jointly promote the great cause of rejuvenating the Silk Road to build a community of shared future for mankind."
